SYNOPSIS:

'The art of Puppetry' ('Puppenspielkunst') is a documentary film about the students and teachers in the puppetry department of the HfS Ernst Busch in Berlin. Through a combination of interviews and performance sequences, an insight into the captivating world of puppets and their mastery is gained.

The students share glimpses of their personal works, the doors of the colorful puppet archive are opened, and through the expertise of the professors, the seemingly inanimate becomes convincingly animate.
